About the range

About this range

What is a deep soaking bath?

A deep soaking bath is a bathtub built deeper than a standard bath so you can immerse your whole body to the shoulders. Where a typical UK bath holds water around 300–400mm deep, every Omnitub deep soaking bath gives you 600mm of internal depth with a 525mm soak line — a full, hot soak rather than a shallow lie-down. Each is handmade to order in Somerset from Omnigel, our seven-layer built-up system that holds heat far longer than a thin acrylic shell, finished in your colour (matched to any BS 4800, RAL or paint reference) with a 30-year warranty. Compact footprints mean a proper deep soak fits a normal bathroom — and through a 630mm doorway. New to deep baths? Read our guide to choosing a deep soaking bath, or see the Japanese seated soaking tubs for 1000mm of upright depth.

Deep Bathtubs by Omnitub – Soak Deeper, Relax Better

Welcome to Omnitub’s Deep Bathtubs collection—where luxury meets practicality. Our tubs are the deepest you’ll find anywhere, handcrafted in Britain. Thanks to our unique Omnigel process, they’re warm to the touch, keeping you cosy during every soak. Whether you’ve got a small bathroom, a sprawling garden deck, or a commercial spa, we offer a wide range of sizes to suit your space perfectly.

Why Choose Omnitub Deep Bathtubs?

  1. Unmatched Depth: Ideal for a proper full-body soak—deeper than any standard tub.
  2. Warm & Cosy: Omnigel keeps the surface toasty, no cold shocks here.
  3. Made in Britain: Built by skilled British craftsmen, designed to last.
  4. Slip-Resistant: Safe for soaking or showering, no slips, no fuss.

Flexible Installation, Your Way

Our deep bathtubs fit any setup. Go free-standing for a striking look, pop it against one wall, or slot it into a corner (two or three walls). Fancy it under tiles or marble? Undercount it. Dreaming of an outdoor dip? Sink it below ground—perfect under decking or in a spa retreat. Heights range from 625mm to 750mm depending on your space, and you can trim the edges for a snug fit. Steps? Optional, but most Brits manage without.

Customise It to Suit Your Style

Make it yours in your colour — matched to any BS 4800, RAL or paint reference, from crisp white to something bold. The overflow? You choose where it goes—drill it on any side to match your plumbing (we leave it undrilled for full flexibility). Don’t worry about drilling—our tubs are sturdy yet simple to work with, no cracking or bulging. Our technical guide walks you through it step-by-step.

Perfect for Any British Home

Got a narrow doorway? No bother—our tubs squeeze through anything 630mm or wider. Feet come included but detached for delivery, making it easy to get into place. From cosy cottages to busy commercial spots, these tubs work anywhere. Our data shows small rectangular models (like the Solo Extra 1150x900mm) are a hit—proof they’re spot-on for compact UK bathrooms.

Easy Setup, Big Impact

Installation’s a doddle with Omnitub. Pair it with our wastes or panels (sold separately) for a cracking finish. Need details on height or trimming? Our full technical guide has all the answers. This isn’t just a bathtub—it’s a game-changer. A deep, luxurious escape that turns any soak into a proper treat.

Insulation Solutions

Designed for Indoor, Outdoor, Commercial & Recirculation

Choose your thermal build — rigid PIR insulation from 25 mm to 150 mm, with 50 mm as standard. Taped, bonded, over-laminated and sealed with our Omnicoat finish, so the whole build holds heat as one continuous shell.

  • 150 mm available From 25 mm to 150 mm — 50 mm is our standard
  • 0.13 W/m²K wall Wall U-value at 150 mm vs 3.0 bare — near-passive
  • 80 % longer heat Held at 50 mm vs a bare build — and a smaller chiller or heater

Choose your thermal build

Insulation is specified by thickness — from 25 mm to 150 mm, with 50 mm as standard. The thicker the board, the lower the heat loss and the smaller the chiller or heater you need. Thicknesses can be mixed across a single build where the project calls for it.

More than a board — a sealed thermal shell

It isn’t just the insulation. The board is taped, bonded into the tub, over-laminated with further layers of glass and resin, rolled, then sealed with Omnicoat — our final, sealed-in coat. The result is one continuous, gap-free shell with no thermal bridging, so the insulation performs at its full value and the whole build works as a single unit. Colour runs all the way through the Omnigel beneath it — never painted on.

Thermal performance by thickness — wall U-value of the finished, Omnicoat-sealed build (lower is better; bare build ≈ 3.0).
Thickness Board R-valuem²K/W Wall U-valueW/m²K Best suited to
Bare build 3.0 Indoor domestic use — already outperforms acrylic & steel
25 mm 1.10 0.58 Light outdoor & shoulder-season knock-back
50 mm Standard 2.25 0.35 Most projects — holds heat for hours, balanced cost
75 mm 3.40 0.25 Cold-climate outdoor & light commercial
100 mm 4.50 0.19 Year-round outdoor & high-use commercial
120 mm 5.65 0.16 Demanding commercial & continuous recirculation
150 mm 6.80 0.13 Near-passive — maximum heat retention

Figures are for the finished, sealed build (board R plus the over-laminated, Omnicoat-sealed shell). A lower U-value means less heat lost — and a smaller, cheaper-to-run system holding it. Want the numbers for your exact tub, water temperature and climate? The OmniSoak calculator models it live.

Additional insulation walkthrough — up to 13 layers, finished with a fully sealed exterior coating.

Where it earns its keep

  • Indoor

Optional on standard installs — our 7-layer build already outperforms acrylic and steel for regular bathroom use.

  • Commercial

Hotels, spas, glamping, wellness facilities — additional insulation reduces equipment workload and running costs.

  • Recirculation & filtration

Tubs paired with chillers, plant rooms or filtration units — extra insulation protects both the tub and the system around it.

Insulation on an Omnitub is specified by thickness — rigid PIR board from 25 mm up to 150 mm, with 50 mm as our standard. The thicker the board, the lower the heat loss, and the smaller the chiller or heater needed to hold temperature.

It is not just the board. The insulation is taped, bonded into the tub, over-laminated with further layers of glass and resin, rolled, then sealed with Omnicoat — our final, sealed-in coat. The result is one continuous, gap-free shell with no thermal bridging, so the insulation performs at its full value and the whole build behaves as a single unit. Colour runs all the way through the Omnigel beneath — it is never painted on.

The most popular choice is 50 mm, which holds water temperature far longer than a bare build — a build that already outperforms acrylic, steel, and most other bath materials on the market. Step up to 100 mm or 150 mm for year-round outdoor use, high-demand commercial settings, or continuous recirculation, and the wall U-value falls towards near-passive levels.

Heavier insulation reduces the workload and running costs of your equipment and prevents condensation caused by the temperature difference between the water and its surroundings — whether that is a garden cold plunge, a spa hot soak with plant-room recirculation, or a commercial wellness facility. It protects both the tub and the system connected to it.

Some customers add insulation to indoor installations too, and we are happy to accommodate that — though it is not necessary for standard indoor domestic use, hot or cold. Our standard build is more than sufficient for a regular bathroom.
