About this range

The engineering is the whole point: where a normal tub has wide flat rims, Sheer runs just three slim 25 mm flanges and one 100 mm flange at the tap end, on a 25 mm taper — so the inside is absolutely maximised. That's why a Sheer holds so much more than its footprint suggests.

For two decades, Omnitub has hand-built deep soaking tubs in Somerset, England. Sheer is our answer to the bathroom that wants a proper, shoulder-deep soak but has never had the floor space for one. By re-engineering the wall geometry to hold near-vertical sides, we put a full 600 mm of immersion on a slim 700 mm-wide footprint — the inverse of a conventional space-saving tub, which shrinks the water to fit the room. Sheer keeps the water and loses the bulk: slim on the floor, vast inside.

Behind the name

Sheer depth — a true 600 mm of uncompromising immersion. Sheer sides — near-vertical walls that drop like a cliff face, holding the water around you instead of sloping it away. Sheer simplicity — clean, pure lines, hand-finished by people, not machines. The name is our shorthand for the whole idea: maximum depth, minimum footprint, nothing wasted.

British craftsmanship, cutting-edge design

Every Sheer tub is hand-laid in Somerset from our proprietary 7-layer Omnigel built-up system — rigid, warm to the touch, with the colour running all the way through so it can never chip or fade. Made to order in White or any RAL / BS 4800 / Pantone colour, backed by a 30-year warranty, and shipped worldwide to 220+ countries.

We take our standard 7-layer build and add extra insulation layers bonded with glass and resin, finished with a fully sealed exterior coating. The thickness depends on your project — from 25mm upwards to 100mm+ depending on conditions and requirements. The most popular option is 50mm, which holds water temperature up to 80% longer than our standard 7-layer build — a build that already outperforms acrylic, steel, and most other bath materials on the market.

Additional insulation reduces the workload and running costs of your equipment and prevents condensation issues caused by the temperature difference between the water and the surrounding environment.

Whether it's a domestic garden cold plunge, a spa hot soak with plant room recirculation, or a commercial wellness facility — additional insulation protects the tub and the system it's connected to.

Some domestic customers have chosen to add insulation to indoor installations too — and we're happy to accommodate that. However, it's worth noting that additional insulation is not necessary for standard indoor domestic use, whether you're using the tub for hot or cold water. Our standard 7-layer build is more than sufficient for a regular bathroom environment.
