Every Omnitub bath, seated tub, plunge tub, shower tray and Omnigel basin comes with a 30-year guarantee on the Omnigel shell for orders from 2024 (10 years before). It isn't a marketing line — it reflects how our tubs are built: hand-laid in Somerset from our Omnigel built-up system, quality-checked before dispatch, and designed to be installed once and relied on for decades. Other parts carry their own terms, set out below.
What the shell guarantee covers
The shell guarantee covers manufacturing faults and structural defects in the Omnigel shell, including:
- Loss of structural integrity
- Leaks caused by manufacturing defects
- Failure in rigidity
- Surface breakdown due to manufacturing issues
Every Omnitub passes our quality-assurance check before it leaves the workshop. White and made-to-order Omnigel colours are covered on the same shell terms — the colour runs through the Omnigel rather than being a coating, so there's no surface layer to chip or peel.
Terms for each part, by order date
Terms are the ones in force on the date you ordered.
- Omnigel shell — baths, seated and plunge tubs, shower trays, Omnigel basins: 30 years on orders from 1 January 2024; 10 years on earlier orders.
- Whirlpool bath — shell: 30 years from 2024 (10 years before). Whirlpool system (pump, blower, controls, jets, pipework): 5 years from 2024; 2 years before 2024, with 10 years on specified PVC pipework.
- Plated whirlpool finish — from 4 July 2026: 3 years in residential use, 1 year in commercial installations. 1 January 2024 – 3 July 2026: 5 years, as part of the system. Before 2024: 2 years, as part of the system.
- Wastes — bath and shower wastes, plugs and traps, including the waste, plug and trap in a push-down bath filler kit: 2 years on the mechanism, finish and seals.
- Omnitone colour-matched finish — from 12 June 2026: 3 years in residential use, 1 year in commercial installations. Earlier orders: 2 years.
- Omnitub Covers — made-to-measure spa and hot tub covers: 3 years pro-rata from the delivery date (100% in year 1, 50% in year 2, 20% in year 3); the maker's exclusions apply — ask us. The percentages never reduce your legal rights.
- No separately stated term — bath panels, feet kits, the filler valve in a push-down bath filler kit, other bath fillers and filler pieces, taps, mixers, spouts, valves, chiller units, insulation, upstands, cover caps, straps and care products. Ask us and we'll confirm. Insulation, upstands, drilling and trimming don't change your shell's term.
What the guarantee does not cover
Like any long-term product guarantee, it covers manufacturing — not external factors. It does not cover:
- Accidental damage
- Damage caused by misuse or lack of care
- Incorrect installation, including issues caused by incorrectly drilled holes or poor sealing during fitting
- Normal wear and tear over time
- Damage from harsh chemicals, cleaning products, or external elements
- Modifications or alterations made after supply
These limits apply to this guarantee only. They never reduce your legal rights.
Who it covers
The guarantee runs from the original purchase (Omnitub Covers: from delivery). It covers the original purchaser and is non-transferable. The Omnigel shell guarantee and Omnitub Covers apply in every country we deliver to.
How to make a claim
If a genuine manufacturing fault is identified, we will either replace the product like for like, or repair and refurbish it where appropriate.
Start your claim on OmniCare with your order number and clear photographs of the issue, or contact us at info@omnitub.co.uk or +44 1934 751200. You're dealing directly with the people who built your tub — no call centres, no scripts.
Your legal rights
This guarantee is in addition to your legal rights and never reduces them. If you bought as a UK consumer, the Consumer Rights Act 2015 gives you:
- 30 days to reject faulty goods for a full refund;
- within 6 months, a fault is presumed to have been there at delivery unless we show otherwise;
- claims for proven defects for up to 6 years (5 in Scotland).
Business buyers keep their rights under sale-of-goods law. Customers outside the UK keep any rights given by the law that applies to their purchase. A term ending never ends your legal rights — tell us about any fault and we will always look at it.
Installation
Omnitubs should be installed by a qualified professional. Correct waste and drainage connections, base support, waterproofing and — where relevant — electrical work are essential to long-term performance.
