Cut & Drill Service Terms
These terms apply to our Overflow Drilling Service and Tap Drilling Service — the option, in the OmniStudio builder, to have us drill the overflow and/or tap holes into your Omnitub before it leaves our works.
1. What the service is
When you choose a drilling service, we core the holes you specify into your handmade Omnitub before dispatch — the overflow at the correct 525 mm soak line (a Ø52 mm bore, the same as the waste), and/or deck tap holes to the standard layout (two holes for ¾″ tap tails at 180 mm centres). Each service is £75 including VAT.
2. You choose and sign off the position
You select the hole position(s) in the OmniStudio builder and confirm them with a signed acknowledgement. We drill to the position you sign off. After your order we email you a signed specification showing your full configuration and the exact hole positions and sizes — please keep this for your records and check it on receipt.
3. Your tub becomes bespoke — and non-returnable
Because we cut your tub to the specification you choose, a drilled Omnitub is a made-to-order, personalised item. In line with the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, the 14-day right to cancel does not apply to goods that are made to your specification or clearly personalised. Once your tub has been drilled it cannot be returned or refunded. By signing the acknowledgement in the builder you confirm you understand and accept this.
4. Your statutory rights are unaffected
Nothing in these terms affects your legal rights. If your item arrives damaged in transit, or is faulty or not as described, you are entitled to a repair, replacement or refund as the law provides — drilling does not change that. Please report any transit damage to us promptly with photographs.
5. Positioning, protrusion and your responsibility
You are responsible for the position and layout you specify, so please check them against your bathroom and your tap's datasheet before ordering. Where a hole cannot sit flush, the builder tells you so before you confirm:
- 600 mm deep range: the overflow sits flush on any side.
- Sheer range: the overflow sits flush on Side A (the 100 mm flange); on a long side the fitting stands proud of the outer face by roughly 35–74 mm depending on the waste. Tap holes fit Side A only.
- Seated range: the overflow stands proud of the outer face on every side by roughly 35–74 mm depending on the waste; seated tubs take wall- or floor-mounted taps, so we do not drill deck tap holes.
If your tap uses a different template to the standard ¾″ tails at 180 mm centres, tell us in the builder and our team will confirm the exact drilling with you from your tap's datasheet before we cut.
6. Prefer to drill it yourself?
You don't have to choose this service — drilling an overflow or tap hole is a straightforward job your installer can do on site, and every Omnitub comes with our comprehensive fitting and drilling guide. Having us do it simply saves a process on the day. A tub you drill yourself remains a standard, returnable item.
