About this product

Description

Omnitub Shower Tray Waste

This isn’t just a waste.

It’s the finishing detail that defines the entire installation.

Precision-built, beautifully finished, and engineered to perform — the Omnitub Shower Tray Waste is designed for customers who care about how things look, how they feel, and how they last.

Built Properly. Designed to Last.

Manufactured from high-grade ABS, this waste is made to handle real-world use — daily water flow, temperature changes, and long-term installation stability — without compromise.

  • Strong, impact-resistant core

  • Corrosion-proof construction

  • Lightweight but structurally solid

  • Engineered for long-term reliability

This is not a cheap plated part. It’s a properly built component designed to stay looking right years down the line.

Precision Fit & Clean Installation

Every dimension is intentional.

The low-profile design integrates seamlessly into the tray, sitting clean, flush, and exactly where it should. No awkward protrusions. No cheap-looking finishes. Just a tight, considered installation.

  • Clean, flush finish

  • Smooth water flow performance

  • Designed for easy, reliable installation

  • Compatible with standard setups

It’s the kind of detail installers appreciate — and customers notice.

The Finish Is Everything

This is where it separates itself.

Each finish has been selected to elevate the entire bathroom — not just match it.

Chrome

Timeless. Reflective. Sharp.

A true mirror finish that brings light and clarity into the space. Works with everything — and always will.

Stainless

Understated and architectural.

A softer metallic tone with a modern edge. Clean, minimal, and built for contemporary spaces.

Matt Black

Bold. Confident. Unapologetic.

A flat, deep black that creates contrast and anchors the design. The go-to for high-end modern bathrooms.

Brushed Black

Refined aggression.

All the depth of black, but with a brushed texture that adds movement and subtle detail. Less harsh, more premium.

Brushed Brass

Warm. Rich. Intentional.

A statement finish that adds depth and luxury without being flashy. Pairs beautifully with natural materials and warmer palettes.

Why Customers Choose This

Because the details matter.

You can install a suited shower tray — and ruin the look with a cheap waste.

Or you can finish it properly.

This is the difference between: "that’ll do” and “that’s done right."

The Omnitub Standard

Everything we produce is built around one idea:

Make it feel right. Look right. Last properly.

This waste does exactly that.

Handmade in Somerset — made by people, not production lines. Every mould handmade in our own factory. Never imported.

Insulation Solutions

Designed for Indoor, Outdoor, Commercial & Recirculation

Choose your thermal build — rigid PIR insulation from 25 mm to 150 mm, with 50 mm as standard. Taped, bonded, over-laminated and sealed with our Omnicoat finish, so the whole build holds heat as one continuous shell.

  • 150 mm available From 25 mm to 150 mm — 50 mm is our standard
  • 0.13 W/m²K wall Wall U-value at 150 mm vs 3.0 bare — near-passive
  • 1 continuous shell PIR board taped, bonded, over-laminated, sealed with Omnicoat — no thermal bridging

Choose your thermal build

Insulation is specified by thickness — from 25 mm to 150 mm, with 50 mm as standard. The thicker the board, the lower the heat loss and the smaller the chiller or heater you need. Thicknesses can be mixed across a single build where the project calls for it.

More than a board — a sealed thermal shell

It isn’t just the insulation. The board is taped, bonded into the tub, over-laminated with further layers of glass and resin, rolled, then sealed with Omnicoat — our final, sealed-in coat. The result is one continuous, gap-free shell with no thermal bridging, so the insulation performs at its full value and the whole build works as a single unit. Colour runs all the way through the Omnigel beneath it — never painted on.

Thermal performance by thickness — wall U-value of the finished, Omnicoat-sealed build (lower is better; bare build ≈ 3.0).
Thickness Board R-valuem²K/W Wall U-valueW/m²K Best suited to
Bare build — 3.0 Indoor domestic use — already outperforms acrylic & steel
25 mm 1.10 0.58 Light outdoor & shoulder-season knock-back
50 mm Standard 2.25 0.35 Most projects — holds heat for hours, balanced cost
75 mm 3.40 0.25 Cold-climate outdoor & light commercial
100 mm 4.50 0.19 Year-round outdoor & high-use commercial
120 mm 5.65 0.16 Demanding commercial & continuous recirculation
150 mm 6.80 0.13 Near-passive — maximum heat retention

Figures are for the finished, sealed build (board R plus the over-laminated, Omnicoat-sealed shell). A lower U-value means less heat lost — and a smaller, cheaper-to-run system holding it. Want the numbers for your exact tub, water temperature and climate? The OmniSoak calculator models it live.

Additional insulation walkthrough — up to 13 layers, finished with a fully sealed exterior coating.

Where it earns its keep

  • Indoor

Optional on standard installs — our 7-layer build already outperforms acrylic and steel for regular bathroom use.

  • Commercial

Hotels, spas, glamping, wellness facilities — additional insulation reduces equipment workload and running costs.

  • Recirculation & filtration

Tubs paired with chillers, plant rooms or filtration units — extra insulation protects both the tub and the system around it.

Insulation on an Omnitub is specified by thickness — rigid PIR board from 25 mm up to 150 mm, with 50 mm as our standard. The thicker the board, the lower the heat loss, and the smaller the chiller or heater needed to hold temperature.

It is not just the board. The insulation is taped, bonded into the tub, over-laminated with further layers of glass and resin, rolled, then sealed with Omnicoat — our final, sealed-in coat. The result is one continuous, gap-free shell with no thermal bridging, so the insulation performs at its full value and the whole build behaves as a single unit. Colour runs all the way through the Omnigel beneath — it is never painted on.

The most popular choice is 50 mm, which holds water temperature far longer than a bare build — a build that already outperforms acrylic, steel, and most other bath materials on the market. Step up to 100 mm or 150 mm for year-round outdoor use, high-demand commercial settings, or continuous recirculation, and the wall U-value falls towards near-passive levels.

Heavier insulation reduces the workload and running costs of your equipment and prevents condensation caused by the temperature difference between the water and its surroundings — whether that is a garden cold plunge, a spa hot soak with plant-room recirculation, or a commercial wellness facility. It protects both the tub and the system connected to it.

Some customers add insulation to indoor installations too, and we are happy to accommodate that — though it is not necessary for standard indoor domestic use, hot or cold. Our standard build is more than sufficient for a regular bathroom.

Available on any tub in our range, in any colour. Thicknesses can be mixed across a single build where a project calls for it. Pricing is on application, based on your project.

Optional upgrade · priced on application

Prefer extra insulation? We’ll spec it with you.

Every Omnitub holds heat beautifully as standard, so insulation is entirely optional. If your build calls for it — an outdoor plunge, a commercial spa, year-round cold use — tell us your conditions and we’ll spec the right thickness, walk you through pricing, and confirm your build slot before you commit a penny. No obligation.

  • Insulation thickness recommendation (25mm — 100mm+)
  • Project pricing with no commitment
  • Build-slot confirmed before payment
  • Direct line to the maker — not a call centre

Insulation is an optional upgrade — every Omnitub holds heat beautifully as standard and is complete without it. You never need to call to order; this is simply here if your build calls for extra insulation.

What should I do if my waste kit seems to be missing from my delivery?

Every Omnitub waste and overflow is supplied complete as part of your order, so it's rare for anything to be missing — but if a part isn't in your delivery, get in touch straight away by WhatsApp, phone (+44 1934 751200) or email with your order number. We'll get the replacement out to you as quickly as possible so you're not held up.

Which waste do I need for my Omnitub?

Choosing the right waste is simple, and we make a range to suit every setup. The main thing to decide is how you'd like to fill and empty your bath:

    • A pop-up / push (click-clack) waste — the most popular choice: a neat, push-to-open plug operated by hand or foot, with no exposed plug and chain.
    • A waste with an overflow — for the reassurance of an overflow that sets your maximum water level.
    • A waste without an overflow — for the cleanest, most minimal look, or if you're filling from the taps.
    • A bath-filler waste — which lets you fill the bath through the overflow itself for the deepest possible soak.

All our wastes use standard fittings, so they're simple for any plumber to connect, and they come in a full range of finishes — including a colour-match to any colour through our Omnitone service.

You'll find the full range, with what each one does, in our Wastes collection — just pick the option that suits how you like to use your bath.

How does the pop-up (click-clack) waste work?

    14×
    asked
    Asked by customers
From 14 real customer enquiries across calls, video calls and emails.

It's beautifully simple and clutter-free. A pop-up — or "click-clack" — waste replaces the old-fashioned plug and chain with a sprung plug built into the waste itself. You press it down once to seal the bath, and press again to release and let the water out — click to close, clack to open.

There's no separate plug to store or lose, and nothing dangling over the side, so it keeps the clean, uninterrupted look that suits an Omnitub. It's operated easily by hand or a light press of the foot.

Keeping it working smoothly is easy too: the plug simply lifts out for cleaning — gently unscrew or pull it free, rinse away any hair or residue, and pop it back. That quick occasional clean is all it needs.

Does the waste come with everything needed to fit it?

    12×
    asked
    Asked by customers
From 12 real customer enquiries across calls, video calls and emails.

Yes — each Omnitub waste arrives as a complete kit with all the parts your plumber needs to fit it, including the seals and washers, and (on waste-and-overflow sets) the connecting hose. There's nothing extra to buy separately to get it installed.

Because everything is included and uses standard connections, fitting is straightforward for any competent plumber. We'd always recommend giving the kit a quick check against its instructions when it arrives, so everything's to hand before installation begins.

In the rare event a small part is ever missing or doesn't seat correctly, just get in touch with your order details and we'll put it right quickly — but as a rule, your waste turns up ready to fit, start to finish.

How much does a brushed brass waste with overflow cost?

    8×
    asked
    Asked by customers
From 8 real customer enquiries across calls, video calls and emails.

A push-down waste with overflow in brushed brass is £150 — the same as our brushed black and brushed bronze finishes; chrome is £100. If you don't need an overflow, the brushed-brass waste is £120. And if you'd like the matching bath filler with overflow in brushed brass, that's £250. You'll find them all, with the current prices, in our Wastes collection.

How long has Omnitub been in business?

Omnitub has been crafting baths by hand in Britain since 2005 — but the story goes back much further. The original Omnitub was designed over forty years ago by a pioneering British architect who fell in love with the deep, upright Japanese soaking bath, the ofuro, and brought it home to Britain.

In 2005, James Vearncombe revived the then-dormant brand — taking on the original design and a small workshop in Lympsham, Somerset, and building each tub by hand, just as it always had been. From there, Oliver Exley built omnitub.co.uk and grew the range from a couple of sizes toward the fifty-plus we offer today.

So while the company as you know it has been going for around twenty years, you're buying into a genuinely British design with over four decades of heritage — still handmade in Somerset, still backed by our 30-year guarantee. We're proud to be among the few who've kept this craft alive.

    Why Omnitub

    The Omnitub Advantage

Handmade in Britain, warm to the touch, built to last.

At Omnitub Ltd, we don’t just manufacture bath tubs—we create an experience. Every Omnitub Deep Soaking Bath Tub is handmade in Somerset, England using our own Omnigel material, a built-up system developed in-house for strength, warmth and comfort. Unlike mass-produced bath tubs made by machines, each Omnitub is carefully crafted by skilled hands, hand-laid layer by layer and inspected by the maker before it leaves our workshop.

    1. Ollie Exley and the Omnitub team handcrafting a deep soaking bath in the Somerset workshop

      Handmade in Britain, by People

Every Omnitub Deep Soaking Bath Tub is handmade at our own workshop in Somerset, England — made by people, not production lines. The mould is handmade in our own factory, the shell is hand-laid in our Omnigel built-up system, and every tub is inspected and signed off by the maker before it leaves. Every Omnitub shell is made here — never imported, never outsourced.

Omnigel is our own material, developed in-house for strength and longevity. Unlike conventional plastics or lower-grade acrylics, Omnigel is built to stay solid for decades — which is why the shell of every Omnitub bath carries a 30-year warranty.

Because the surface is repairable and the colour is in the Omnigel itself rather than painted on, an Omnitub is built to be kept, not replaced.

    2. Close-up of the Omnigel surface showing its warm-to-the-touch finish

Omnigel: Naturally Warm to the Touch for Ultimate Comfort

One of the standout benefits of Omnigel is its naturally warm-to-the-touch surface. Unlike steel, cast iron or stone, which can feel cold and uncomfortable, Omnigel retains warmth, providing an inviting and luxurious bathing experience from the moment you step in.

This heat-retaining property keeps bath water warmer for longer, so you can enjoy a deep, unhurried soak without constantly topping up with hot water. Choose the insulation upgrade — 25 to 150mm, sealed with Omnicoat — and the water holds its heat longer still.

    3. Omnitub deep soaking bath interior demonstrating the non-slip Omnigel surface

Built for Safety: Naturally Non-Slip for Complete Confidence

Safety is a fundamental part of every Omnitub Deep Soaking Bath Tub, and Omnigel has been specially formulated to provide a naturally non-slip surface. Unlike many manufacturers who only offer slip-resistant coatings as an extra option, Omnitub Deep Soaking Bath Tubs come with anti-slip properties as standard.

The specially engineered texture of Omnigel enhances grip underfoot, reducing the risk of slipping while maintaining a smooth, comfortable feel. This makes Omnitub Deep Soaking Bath Tubs ideal for families, elderly users, or anyone seeking a safer bathing experience—without compromising on style or comfort.

    4. High-gloss white Omnigel surface showing scratch-resistant, UV-stable finish

      Exceptional Strength, Durability & Protection

Omnigel is far more robust than standard bath materials, making Omnitub Deep Soaking Bath Tubs stronger and longer-lasting. The surface of every tub is engineered to withstand daily use while maintaining its pristine, high-gloss finish.

      • UV Resistant – Prevents fading and discolouration, ensuring your bath tub retains its luxurious appearance for decades.
      • Waterproof & Chemical Resistant – Omnigel prevents water absorption, eliminating swelling or degradation while withstanding everyday cleaning products without damage.
      • Scratch & Stain Resistant – Maintains a flawless finish even after years of use, offering both beauty and resilience.
    5. Finished Omnitub deep soaking bath ready for delivery, backed by the 30-year shell warranty

2-Year Waste Warranty for Complete Peace of Mind

Every Omnitub waste is covered for 2 years — the mechanism, the finish, the seals and the moving parts. Omnitone colour-matched finishes are guaranteed for 3 years in residential use and 1 year in commercial installations. Bath fillers don’t carry a separately stated term — our team will confirm the cover for your order. Your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 always apply on top, so if something isn’t right, get in touch and we’ll look at it.

The bath or tray it drains is covered separately: the Omnigel shell of every Omnitub bath, shower tray, basin and whirlpool ordered from 2024 carries a 30-year manufacturer’s warranty.

When you choose Omnitub, you’re not just buying a bath tub—you’re investing in a product built to last for decades. Whether for personal indulgence or daily use by the whole family, your Omnitub Deep Soaking Bath Tub is designed to maintain its strength, beauty, and functionality for generations.

    6. Bespoke-coloured Omnitub installed in a luxury bathroom

      Luxury That Lasts

Omnigel is not just a material—it’s our own way of making a bath. By combining craftsmanship, comfort and safety, Omnitub Ltd has built a bath with a difference you can measure.

      • Handmade in Britain by skilled craftsmen, not mass-produced by machines
      • Naturally warm to the touch
