Every Omnigel-built tub starts with these facts. Skim the row, then dive into the detail below.
There are Whirlpool Baths and then there are Omnitub Deep Whirlpool Baths. It’s another level of relaxation, comfort and excellence. It’s also an added bonus that your body is well, you know. Underwater!
Imagine experiencing a whirlpool bath and enjoying it but your knees, shoulders and therefore other body parts were outside of the tub. Bit bizarre really. Perhaps they should rebrand themselves to “part body whirlpool baths”?
Here’s a few bullet points as to why we genuinely believe an Omnitub Whirlpool Bath is by far the best solution;
We can create a whirlpool bath in any of our Omnitub Range and it’s always better to do it on a one to one basis. Every drawing file is done post purchase so we know what specification we are working to.
We are more than happy to help with orders over the phone or on WhatsApp.

Short answer — every whirlpool system Omnitub manufactures is fully bespoke. Jet location, lighting position, control placement, pump type, and heater inclusion are all tailored to your exact requirements.
What can be customised: • Jet location — specify positions, or ask us to design a pattern after you've ordered • Lighting — LED positions and quantity set to your preference • Control panel placement — wherever suits your installation • Diverter switch location — if you're running multiple jet zones • Suction pump specification • Air blower — standard or heated • Water jet pumps — single or multiple, sized to the jet count • Jet fill location — if you'd like the tub to fill through the jets rather than a conventional tap • Tub height — adjusted to accommodate pipework, pumps, and access requirements
The air blower can be specified as standard (room-temperature air) or heated. Heated air blowers warm the air before it reaches the jets — particularly useful if you're planning long soak sessions or live somewhere cold.
All whirlpool systems are built by hand here in Somerset. Once you've ordered, we'll design the jet pattern and component layout to suit your tub dimensions, your bathroom layout, and how you've described wanting to use the bath.
This is a completely custom system — there are no off-the-shelf configurations. If you'd like jets in a specific position, or a particular control arrangement, we'll build it that way.
Send us a sketch of your bathroom layout, or describe how you'd like to use the whirlpool system, and we'll specify the components and positions before we start the build. WhatsApp, phone, or email — whichever suits you.
Short answer — a single 13-amp fused spur or switched connection, positioned within reach of the bath using the network cable supplied with the system.
Every Omnitub whirlpool system has one power connector. The pump and control unit connect to a single fuse box — part of the system we supply — which then feeds through to one power inlet in or near the bathroom.
Electrical specification: • 13-amp fused spur or switched outlet • Positioned within cable reach of the bath (network cable supplied with the system) • Must comply with BS 7671 (IET Wiring Regulations) for bathroom electrical zones • Typically installed just outside the bathroom or within Zone 3 if space allows
The fuse box we supply integrates the pump, controller, and power inlet into a single managed unit. Your electrician creates a fused spur from the ring main and connects it to the inlet point using the cable provided.
Most installations position the spur just outside the bathroom door or in an adjoining cupboard — wherever meets Building Regulations Part P and the 17th Edition wiring rules for wet areas. Your electrician will confirm the compliant location during first fix.
If you're working with an electrician unfamiliar with whirlpool baths, send us their contact details via WhatsApp, phone, or email and we'll talk them through the specification before installation begins.
In many cases, yes — but it depends on which Omnitub you’re choosing.
Non-seated Omnitubs can normally be turned on their side for access. When turned, the key measurement becomes 625mm, so as a general guide you want a doorway opening of at least 630mm to allow the tub through safely.
Seated Omnitubs work differently. Because of the shape and proportions, the smallest measurement is the actual width of the tub itself. So the doorway opening you need depends on the width of the tub you’ve chosen:
In simple terms:
As a rough guide, a standard internal door in the UK is usually around 720mm to 750mm wide, so many non-seated tubs will go through without issue. Seated tubs depend entirely on the width selected and the true clear opening available on site.
It’s also worth remembering that the clear opening matters more than the door leaf size itself. Door frames, skirting, tight turns, bannisters, radiators, and hallway restrictions can all affect access.
If there’s any doubt at all, measure the narrowest point on the full access route — not just the bathroom door.
Short answer — the 1600×800 is a one or two-person tub.
The 1600mm length and 800mm width give two adults room to sit comfortably facing one another, or inside each-other, without competing for space. The internal dimensions are generous enough that shoulders, legs, and elbows aren't cramped.
If you're planning to use the tub solo most of the time, the 1600×800 still works well — you simply have more room to move, turn, or float. Solo bathers between 5'2" and 6'4" report the 1600 length as ideal for full immersion with legs extended.
It depends on whether you choose a white Omnitub (in stock) or a coloured Omnitub (made to order) — but in all cases, you stay in control of the delivery date.

Boxing in using this example shows how you can keep a consistent boarder around the tub (Looks so good). This example gives a great amount of space for the system to breath and not be at risk from overheating due to lack of airflow.
Only the area where the pump and/or blower is housed needs to be accessible in the extremely unlikely event of failiure. Ensuring good airflow and not packing in tightly provides the right amount of airflow to ensure longetivity in the system.
Suitable to be mounted inside the tub, on the side (flange) or off the tub. The controls for the system gives the ability to control the water pump (whirlpool Jets) the blower (air jets and/or air line within Whirlpool Jets), the power of the blower and the lights.
When a system has both a whirlpool jet range and an air jet range it has a diverter which is placed within the tub to be able to control the emphasis between the two jet types. (Housed under the controls)
An Omnitub always look great with space around it whether its under the side like on this image or over the top (undermounting). It's a great place to house candles, phones, drinks or other decorative items.
Steps are absolutley not essential in non seated tub installations but they do look cool and can also be used for access for the pump and/or blower. Step designs are subjective to the users needs/design considerations.
